Toto Wolff, the boss of Mercedes, declares, “I’m a Guardiola fan,” while discussing investing in Manchester United

Toto Wolff, the manager of Mercedes Formula One, has hinted that investing in rival Manchester United with co-owner Jim Ratcliffe might be difficult given his backing of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Ratcliffe, the millionaire head of Ineos and a native of Manchester, is about to acquire a 25% ownership in the Premier League team.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-267438″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-unveiled-the-second-intro-video-for-bharateeyudu-2-starring-kamal-haasan-download-.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com unveiled the second intro video for bharateeyudu 2 starring kamal haasan download” width=”1268″ height=”886″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-unveiled-the-second-intro-video-for-bharateeyudu-2-starring-kamal-haasan-download-.jpg 269w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/theindiaprint.com-unveiled-the-second-intro-video-for-bharateeyudu-2-starring-kamal-haasan-download–150×105.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1268px) 100vw, 1268px” title=”Toto Wolff, the boss of Mercedes, declares, "I'm a Guardiola fan," while discussing investing in Manchester United 3″>

When asked whether he would be drawn to the British driver, Austrian driver Wolff, who also shares ownership of the Mercedes team, refrained from commenting on any potential immediate engagement.

When the subject was posed to him on Sky Sports television, he said, “Here we go.”

Ratcliffe is “such a clever person,” according to Wolff, who added that if there was anything Ratcliffe could do, “but no, that’s very far away,” he would be prepared to talk.

“I support the Premier League.” It’s the hardest atmosphere, in my opinion. Since I like Pep Guardiola, I suppose that is incompatible.

Guardiola attended both the British Grand Prix this year and the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last year as a guest of Mercedes.

Wolff remarked on Formula One’s “Beyond the Grid” podcast last year, “We didn’t know each other but when I heard him talking, it was like my sentences, the same approach— and he said the same about me.”

“In the end, human management is what matters most, and (he is) someone I will definitely include in my future endeavors since we just clicked.”

At Yas Marina, Wolff was also seen with Guardiola, carrying a Manchester City jersey with Toto on the back.
