Asian Champions League triumph for Al-Nassr is fueled by Cristiano Ronaldo’s two goals

<p>After defeating Tajikistan’s Istiklol 2-0, Al-Nassr now leads Persepolis by three points with nine points after three games in Group E.</p>
<p>Anderson Talisca scored the game’s first goal thanks to a Ronaldo backheel, and Sadio Mane extended the advantage just before halftime. Before the hour mark, the Portugal star’s left-footed curler from beyond the area made it 3-0.<br />

<p>With nine minutes left, Ronaldo came into play once again, volleying a long cross into the back of the net. Al-Nassr held on as Michael Olunga’s goal made it 4-3.</p>
<p>Al-Hilal defeated Mumbai City 6-0 on Monday. With a hat trick and seven points after three games, Al-Hilal leads Group D. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored all three goals for the four-time champion.</p>
<p>Karim Benzema was out injured, thus Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia defeated Al Quwa Al Jawiya of Iraq 1-0 thanks to a last-second goal from Abderrazak Hamdallah.</p>
<p>Al-Ittihad leads Iranian club Sepahan by two points in Group C after Sepahan defeated AGMK 3-1 in Uzbekistan.</p>
<p>Two teams that have won three championships met in Japan in the eastern zone of the tournament, which is split into two geographical sections until the final.</p>
<p>South Korean Pohang Steelers beat the Urawa Reds 2-0; Jeong Jae-hee and Goh Young-jun both scored once in the first half.</p>
<p>After the Chinese champion defeated Vietnam’s Hanoi FC 2-1, Pohang is in first place in Group J with three victories out of three and five points ahead of Urawa and Wuhan Three Towns.</p>
<p>South Korean Ulsan Hyundai Horangi, a two-time winner, beat Malaysia’s Johor Darul Tazim 3-1, although they remain in second place in Group I behind Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale, who defeated Thailand’s BG Pathum United 4-2 to take first place.</p>
